THE ALBANY CLUB QUIZ

Hedgehog's Blog

December 2006

Brendan and I really enjoyed the December 4th quiz. It was good to see one
of the new teams (Albany Mafia) winning the cashpot round of £17.00 !!
Oh well, that quiz is over and we've started working on the next one for the 18th.
Because it's the Christmas quiz, we go into the attic and get down some of the
old favorite questions from previous Christmases!
A bit like tatty old decorations and broken fairy lights.

By the way, when I say that we've started on the next quiz,
I meant I have. Brendan's still in bed, 10.30am - probably something
to do with the bottle of Jamesons we made a serious dent in last night .
Must admit I'm feeling rough as a badger's arse at the moment too...

Anyway, the answer to Blog 1's question - (which "animal" was clubbed
to death at The Earlsdon Cottage about 10 years ago at the quiz?)
We've had several interesting answers on that one, including "the Swains"
thanks for that General Lee, but no cigar.
In fact it was a seal, the rollover seal that hadn't been won
in the shit-a-brac round for several weeks.
It was a ceramic blue seal which we'd filled with chopped tomatoes
and clubbed to pieces with a Stanley claw hammer.
There was pottery, "blood and guts" everywhere!!
If there's enough interest, we might get a real one next time.....!

This week's question from Memory Lane

In which Earlsdon shop window is the silvery tree
in the new Two Giraffes video?
Clue : If you like a bet you might see it.

View on www.twogiraffes.co.uk.
Remember, this is worth a pint in the Xmas Quiz.
