Subscriptions and new members	Club Membership renewals have commenced. You can renew in January, Friday evenings and Sunday lunchtimes. See the notice board for latest times. Prospective new members should pick up an application form from the bar and may apply to join in February. Failure to renew now incurs a £1 per month fine and our strict door policy means that you will need to be signed in AND pay a visitors fee every time! Remember, membership is only £6.00 a year.
Albany Rocks Open Mic	Well wouldn't you know it, the Free and Easy returns on Sunday nights in a regular spot starting December 11th at 8:00pm under the new and trendy name "Albany Rocks" Open Mic, but rest assured the format is still the tried and trusted method that has proved a winner for over 30 years. The Club have approched 2 individual groups of Musos who will alternate gigs in an effort to stop the event growing stale after prolonged exposure. More bands may well follow. It will be interesting to see what happens. In an uncanny and most unlikely coincidence, a certain Mister Nigel Ashby has curiously begun to frequent the Club of late.... Mmmm, next thing you know, all "those" old Earlsdon Cottage bands from the glory days will be coming to play. Oh yes.
Bowls	Free Bowls coaching sessions for the 2012 Season The Albany Club Bowls team are celebrating the forthcoming bowls season with a pre-season practice on Sunday 1st April, from 2pm. If you are interested in a free lesson, please contact the Bowls Club Secretary, Scott Crowther, at scott @ thecrowthers.co.uk. in advance as they will need to arrange for you to borrow bowls .Look forward to seeing you in the Park! Customer Feedback	Prompted by a number of you who want a platform to express your opinions on "Albany-club-life" we've introduced a feedback page under the "News" menu. Direct posting as in a blog may be on the cards if there is enough interest, but previous efforts at a forum proved a waste of time. Watch this space, as they say. There is also a button on the left of your screen on the Home or Index page. This enables you lucky people to give our webmaster feedback on the structure and design of the website. Bit of a first we think......
Kitchen	Not content just to serve the alledgedly best beer in Earlsdon we are now able to serve top quality food. The Club's new kitchen is now fully operational and the franchise for this is now awarded to Saffron's Catering. They serve excellent breakfasts, snacks and a great Sunday roast at very reasonable prices. Check them out and watch for some special themed nights and grills coming soon.
Acoustic Lounge	Want to express yourself? Have something to sing about, tell us about, or want to play a musical instrument that doesn't require a hundred watts of noise? Then we'd love you to join us every Tuesday night in the lounge around 8:30pm. Everybody is welcome, especially our good friends from the Earlsdon Folk Club. A free drink for the first ten artistes on stage. It doesn't get any better than this! PA and mics provided
On Line payment facilities	You can now pay for tickets to our regular concerts using major credit cards where you see a link like this one; Many people travel great distances to see some of the acts we put on. This will be really convenient for folks like them, but this facility will also mean that members can now pay for their Christmas & New Years Eve tickets, and in the future they may be able to pay their yearly subscription on line and spread the cost! If you give us your email address we can even send you a reminder! At last, an end to those queues in the foyer on Friday nights and Sunday lunchtimes...
Room Hire	THIS LOUNGE IS NOW FOR HIRE FOR PRIVATE FUNCTIONS AT VERY REASONABLE RATES FROM MONDAY TO FRIDAY. CONTACT US FOR FURTHER DETAILS.
Committee meeting minutes	Transcriptions of Committee meetings are now on display in the foyer. This may put an end to rumour mongering and Chinese whispers. Go on, have a look - you may even be tempted to get involved in the management of the best club in Coventry. Not for the bone idle or faint hearted though - and, of course - you can't please all of the people all the time.
